Information For Applications For Invite
The purpose of this accompanying letter is to provide more details regarding the application process and prize money allocation intentions.
The Organising Authority, Royal Bermuda Yacht Club, will consider all eligible inquiries as stated in Notice of Race 4. Please submit your request, by 31 May 2024, to be consider for an invite to Nicole Butterworth at [email protected] along with:
- World Sailing ID
- Current Women’s Match Racing Ranking
- Short match racing biography
Accommodation It is the intention of the event to provide Host Housing for all our women’s teams. A large part of the sailing experience in Bermuda is being hosted by local residents who offer up their homes to visiting teams. It is expected that teams can arrange transportation and meals but often times host will gladly supply breakfast materials, tea and coffee at the bare minimum. More details will be provided at time of invite issuing.
Prize Money This event will have a prize purse that will be divided up between all eight teams. At the time of publishing the Notice of Race, the exact amount of the prize purse is not yet confirmed but should be a minimum of $40,000 USD. The breakdown from First to Eighth will be approximately:
- First Place - One third total
- Second Place - 15% total
- Third Place - 12% total
- Fourth Place - 10% total
- Fifth to Eighth Place - 7.5% total
It is hoped that an announcement regarding the total prize purse will be made in due course and well in advance of the event dates. END: 19th April 2024
