Ian and Team Williams Sail Racing are the 2019 King Edward VII Gold Cup champions, cementing their place on the coveted ‘multi-time’ winner list with a previous victory in 2006. This is Ian’s 12th visit to Bermuda for this event. The team finished runner-up in a well-faught Final in 2020. He is still the only person to have won six World Championship Titles. Although best known for his successes on the World Match Racing Tour, Ian has competed in a diverse range of classes and series, winning fleet racing championship titles in four different keelboat classes and a World Championship in the M32 catamaran, and competing in well-known circuits like the Audi MedCup, Farr 40 World Championship circuit, Extreme Sailing Series, and M32 Series.
