Born in USA, raised in St. Thomas, USVI, Taylor has worked his way to the top as an active match racer and professional sailor. He has primarily spent the last few years focusing on match racing with US One Sailing Team on the WMRT, with the goal of competing in the America’s Cup. Having been a tour cardholder in 2013 he won the World Match Race Tour Championship as the rookie team on the tour. In addition to his success on the WMRT in the past 7 years with 1 gold and 5 silver medals, he has taken a lot of interest in multihull and foiling platforms as he continues to chase his America's Cup dreams with Stars+Stripes USA. Some other notable accomplishments include 23 podium finishes on WMRT (10 Wins), 4 Congressional Cup wins, and 3 Bermuda Gold Cup wins! He is also a past winner of the RenaissanceRe Junior Gold Cup. He looks forward to returning to Bermuda to defend his 2020 King Edward VII Gold Cup title!
